Departure from Zagreb in the morning. I will pick you up at agreed time at your hotel to start our pleasant excursion. On the way to Plitvice we will stop at Rastoke, a small beautiful village known for its mills and wateralls. Rastoke is situated at the Slunjčica River which over travertine barriers dissolves into the river Korana creating a series of small lakes and picturesque waterfalls. After the break we will continue to Plitvice National Park.
Once arriving at Plitvice National Park, we will begin our adventure and visit the beautiful lakes and explore its flora and fauna. The Plitvice Lakes National Park is the oldest in the country (founded in 1949). It is protected by UNESCO and one of the natural wonders of Croatia. You will fall in love with nature, turquoise water, waterfalls, vegetation and the transparency of lakes. The park has 16 lakes and different trails that we will make according to the season of the year and your condition. The lakes join together over a distance of eight kilometres. The tour lasts about 3-4 hours. The highest waterfall in Croatia 78 m tall is also located in the park and is part of the program. We will walk on the wooden walkways and take an electric boat ride on the largest lake Kozjak.
Free time for lunch. I will gladly make some recommendations for the restaurants and food.
We will continue our trip to your hotel in Zagreb.
