Take a lovely day trip: we’ll pick you up in the morning from your Zagreb accommodation. Departure at 9:00 o’clock. Half hour drive to Samobor, a favourite gateway spot for Zagrebians and tourists.
Visit the charming little baroque town of Samobor, having a delicious Kremšnita custard cake and Bermet dessert wine or coffee, and learn all about the town’s hidden secrets and gastronomy. Samobor will captivate you with its medieval center where you can find King Tomislav Square, Samobor Museum, Gradna river, St. Anastasia church and Franciscan church. Samobor is also known for its carnival, and crystal production.
After Samobor we are going to Plešivica, Croatia’s smallest and one of the most premium wine regions. With the tradition in winemaking dating from the 14th century, picturesque hilly slopes of Plešivica are filled with small family wineries and family houses on the hills. This area is a part of Žumberak-Samoborsko gorje Nature Park. Calcareous soil provides the terroir for some of the most exquisite sparkling wines Croatia has to offer.
Their estates grow everything from international varieties like the Rhein Riesling, Traminer, Pinot Blanc and Gris, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Portugizac (Portugizer) red wine.
Wine tasting at one of the well-known local wineries with great views from the hill. You will try 6 different wines and ham and cheeses.
Drive back to Zagreb after the tour and drop off in your accommodation.
